| Mike Masters passes his exam... The club congratulates Mike Masters who successfully wrote his basic amateur radio exam during all the hoopla (QRM!) of the 25th. Anniversary celebrations! Well done Mike...we hope to be talking to you on the air in the near future. Below, Brad, VE1ZX, and Rick, VE9RWS, two of our club examiners, congratulate Mike and present him with a club crest. | The WARC April 2008 meeting was held on the 2nd. at the E.D. Fullerton Building in Amherst. During this meeting, Bob Tuttle wrote his basic exam and joined the meeting later on. It was announced that Bob had successfully passed his exam. The photo shows Rick Sullivan, VE9RWS (left) and Brad Ross, VE1ZX (right) congratulating Bob on his achievement. Bob hails from Pugwash Junction, NS and recently received the callsign, VA1SBT. You could be hearing him on two metres fairly soon. Welcome to the Club, Bob! |

Congratulations are in order for two of our club members who wrote their exams on Thursday, December 17th, 2009 and gave themselves an early Christmas present! Jon Gordon of Amherst and Randy Elliott of Advocate Harbour both wrote and passed their amateur radio exams! Congratulations guys! Randy's callsign is VE1ADV and Jon's is VE1JSG. The exams were conducted by Brad VE1ZX , Rick VE9RWS and Jim VE1AFH on behalf of Industry Canada at the E. D. Fullerton Building in Amherst, NS. Three students passed their Amateur exam written on the evening of Thursday, February 25th, 2010. | And Yet Another Student Passes the Amateur Radio Course Exam... Congratulations Sam! |
Sam (Samara) Flueck, the daughter of club member Randy Elliott, VE1ADV wrote her amateur radio exam on Thursday, March 4th, 2010 in the E.D. Fullerton Building, Amherst, NS and successfully passed it! Congratulations Sam and welcome to the wonderful world of Amateur Radio! The photos here were submitted by Bob Perry, VE1EDP and show Sam receiving congratulations from course coordinator, Jim Hannon, VE1AFH. Two other photos here show Sam with her Dad, Randy, VE1ADV.
