| The New VE1WRC Antenna |
| The new vertical antenna for VE1WRC was recently installed on Wednesday, June 17th 2009 in the back lawn of the E.D. Fullerton Building in Amherst, Nova Scotia. The photos here showing the operation were sent to me by Lorne, VE1BXK and taken by Brad, VE1ZX. Those taking part in this project were: VE1AFH Jim, VE9KM Rob, VA1MAB Lloyd, VE9RWS Rick, VE1SM Peter, VE1EDP Bob, VE1BXK Lorne and VE1ZX Brad. Note the large number of radials, all of which had to be buried in the existing lawn. A nice shrub bed was prepared at the antenna's base to conceal its real purpose. Most visitors will think that it is a rather thin flagpole minus its flag! Hope the lawn passed the Warden's scrutiny at the end of the day! Good work guys! |
